Rocinha, a neighborhood with 250,000 residents of whom 60,000 are voters,ravaged by the violence caused by drug trafficking, is an urban area highly prized by political candidates for next October’s election.
Presidential candidate Dilme Rousseff, of the ruling Workers Party (PT), with 51 percent of the vote intent in the whole country, leads in Rocinha as well.
