Well, it had to happen: those great gemologists at Brazil’s ubiquitous H. Stern finally coaxed 102-year-old starchitect (the granddaddy of them all) into interpreting his designs into jewelry. Or, at least, they convinced him to let their craftspeople have it a go.
The Niemeyer Collection supposedly launched in Brazil on the architect’s 101th birthday, 15 December 2009. The international début of The H. Stern Collection by Oscar Niemeyer is scheduled for fall 2010. Keep posted.
