SUNRISE

As I look into your eyes I see the sunrise
The light behind your face helps me realise

Will we sleep and sometimes love until the moon shines
Maybe the next time I’ll be yours and maybe you’ll be mine

I don’t know if it’s even in your mind at all
It could be me
At this moment in time
Is it in your mind at all
It should be me, it could be me
Forever

Wandering through life will love come home to you
And the love you want forever, will they be true to you

Will we sleep and sometimes love until the moon shines
Maybe the next time I’ll be yours and maybe you’ll be mine

I don’t know if it’s even in your mind at all
It could be me
At this moment in time
Love’s indescribable
It should be me, it could be me
Forever

Easy, ready, willing, over time
Where does it stop where do you dare me to draw the line
You’ve got the body now you want my soul
Don’t even think about it say no go

Simply Red + Oscar Niemeyer = an intriguing combination. This video was shot in 2003 at the Casa das Canoas, the home Niemeyer built for himself on the outskirts of Rio, in 1953. What a great way to celebrate the Casa’s 50th anniversary!

Somehow it all makes sense: Mick Hucknall, I think, fancies himself as a Ladies’ Man, and I suspect that Niemeyer was quite the rogue back in the day. And of course, his dictum has always been “form follows feminine.” Niemeyer’s curves and Mick’s models’ curves: a nice combination.

It’s great to see a house built more than 50 years ago still looking supermodern today. That’s SuperModern!

The Casa’s exteriors are all there in the video. The director must have shot some of the interiors, however, in a studio or in somebody else’s home.

These folowing two videos give a clearer indication of what the Casa das Canoas really looks like, without the sexy music video veneer.
