VANCOUVER 2010 WINTER OLYMPICS | THE LOOK OF THE GAMES :: EXTREME OPINIONS
I was surfing the Net for facts about “The Look of the Games” when I discovered The Forums of the Bids dot com, where an international panel of pundits is weighing in on the visual identity of the Vancouver Olympic Games.
Most seem in favour of it all, and the forum is the best place I’ve found for people to post their photos documenting the city’s transformation into Olympic City over the past several months.
Vancouver has never looked better.
The “Look of the Games” is an unqualified success. It unites the games’ disparate elements into one cohesive whole that shouts “Vancouver, Canada!”
Here are two opinions from the above mentioned forum taking extreme positions on the graphics of the games.
I’m with the first post, from “NY20??” in New York, who states definitively that Vancouver has “The best Olympic Look of all time.”
What do you think?
I thought I’d start a topic revolving around the transformation of Vancouver for the games, since it’s getting close. If anyone has pictures or is able to take pictures of various aspects of the city that have been ‘transformed’ for the games, post them here! It’s really neat to see how the city & the Olympic venues evolve in this exciting time.
I’ll start us off.
